Areas of Experience

01

Principal & Family Protection

The primary duty of any close protection operative is the safety of the principal and, where required, their immediate family.

Our operatives are trained to assess and manage threats to the principal in every environment, including the home, transit, and public settings. Family protection extends this coverage to spouses, children, and any other individuals under the principal's care. Assignments are structured to ensure consistent, unobtrusive coverage throughout the daily routine, with protocols adapted to each family's specific lifestyle, travel patterns, and risk profile. Each operative builds a thorough understanding of the principal's habits and preferences to ensure protection never interrupts normal life.

02

Advance Work & Route Planning

Effective close protection is almost entirely proactive. Advance work is the discipline of eliminating risk before it reaches the principal.

Before any movement, our operatives conduct detailed advance visits to venues, event sites, hotels, airports, and all points in between. This involves assessing access and egress routes, identifying potential vulnerabilities, liaising with venue security, and preparing contingency options for every scenario. Route planning accounts for time of day, local intelligence, traffic conditions, and alternate options in the event of a change. Nothing is left to chance. The advance operative ensures the principal arrives and departs every engagement safely and with minimal disruption.

03

Threat & Risk Assessment

Close protection begins with an honest, professional evaluation of the threats facing a principal.

Our operatives are trained to produce and interpret thorough threat assessments, drawing on open-source intelligence, local knowledge, and principal-specific factors including public profile, business interests, family circumstances, and travel destinations. Risk assessments are living documents, reviewed and updated as circumstances change. Operatives are trained to distinguish genuine threat indicators from background noise and to escalate or de-escalate the protective posture accordingly so resources are deployed proportionately and intelligently.

04

International Travel Security

UHNW principals travel extensively, often to complex or unfamiliar jurisdictions. International travel security demands a different level of preparation.

Our operatives have experience operating across Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Africa, and the Americas, and understand the regulatory, cultural, and logistical differences each region presents. They manage pre-travel intelligence briefings, coordinate with in-country contacts and local security providers, oversee private aviation protocols, and ensure continuity of protection through customs, immigration, and border controls. Armed and unarmed operations are configured depending on jurisdiction and threat level, and contingency planning for medical emergencies, civil unrest, or rapid extraction is always in place.

05

Residential & Estate Integration

Many close protection operatives work exclusively within private residences, forming a critical part of the household's wider security infrastructure.

Our candidates are experienced in integrating seamlessly with existing household teams, including house managers, estate managers, resident security, and domestic staff, without creating friction or disruption. They conduct regular security audits of the property, oversee access control, manage visitor protocols, liaise with CCTV and alarm system providers, and ensure the physical perimeter of the estate is maintained to the required standard. All of this is done quietly, professionally, and in a manner that preserves the privacy and comfort of the household.

06

Low-Profile Plain-Clothes Operations

In the UHNW world, visible security can be as problematic as no security at all. Discretion is not a secondary consideration. It is a core skill.

Our operatives are trained and experienced in plain-clothes, low-profile protection. They work without an obvious security presence, avoid drawing attention, and respect the principal's desire for privacy. They are socially fluent, appropriately dressed for any environment, and capable of blending naturally into social, business, and leisure settings. The objective is always to make the principal feel safe without making others feel observed. This requires a high degree of situational awareness, emotional intelligence, and the professional confidence to act decisively when required, without hesitation or spectacle.

07

Emergency First Aid & Trauma Response

A close protection operative is frequently the first qualified responder in any medical emergency involving the principal.

All of our placed operatives hold current Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) certification as a minimum, with many holding advanced trauma and pre-hospital care qualifications. They are trained to manage cardiac events, trauma injuries, anaphylaxis, and other acute medical emergencies until professional medical assistance arrives. In international contexts, operatives are also prepared to coordinate medical evacuation and liaise with private medical insurance providers. The ability to respond with skill and composure in a medical crisis is as important as any physical security capability, and we take it equally seriously in our candidate selection.

08

Secure Transportation Coordination

The principal is most exposed during transit. Secure transportation is one of the most technically complex aspects of close protection.

Our operatives understand the full spectrum of protective driving, motorcade operation, and vehicle security. They are experienced in coordinating with principal drivers, managing multi-vehicle convoys, selecting and varying routes, and ensuring vehicles are correctly prepared and maintained. For private aviation and maritime travel, operatives liaise directly with flight crews, FBOs, and vessel captains to ensure embarkation and disembarkation are secure and efficiently managed. In all cases, the priority is ensuring the principal moves between locations safely, on time, and without unnecessary exposure.
