Client Discretion Notice

Last updated: 20 October 2026

At Assel Maison Private Office, discretion is not simply a professional courtesy. It is the foundation upon which every client relationship is built. This notice sets out our commitment to protecting the privacy and confidentiality of our clients, candidates, and all parties involved in our recruitment process.

1. Confidentiality of Client Identity

The identities of our clients, including principals, family offices, and private households, are held in the strictest confidence. We do not disclose client names, locations, property details, or any identifying information to candidates or third parties without explicit prior written consent from the client.

All candidate briefings are carefully curated to convey role requirements without revealing the identity of the engaging party until both sides have consented to proceed to the next stage.

2. Candidate Confidentiality

We treat all candidate information, including personal details, employment history, references, and documentation, with the same level of care. Candidate profiles are only shared with clients where there is a genuine and relevant vacancy, and always with the candidate's knowledge and consent.

3. Non-Disclosure Obligations

All staff and associates of Assel Maison Private Office are bound by strict non-disclosure obligations. Where required by clients, we are also able to facilitate formal Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs) between candidates and the engaging household or office prior to any detailed briefing.

4. Secure Handling of Information

All personal and confidential data shared with us is stored securely and accessed only by those directly involved in the relevant recruitment process. We do not retain candidate or client data beyond what is necessary, and all information is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable UK GDPR obligations.

5. Communications Discretion

We conduct all client communications through secure, professional channels. We do not discuss client matters in any public or unsecured forum. Where sensitive arrangements are required, such as communication through Personal Assistants or intermediaries, we accommodate these entirely at the client's direction.

6. Photography, Testimonials & References

We do not publish, reference, or imply the identity of any current or former client in our marketing, case studies, or testimonials without explicit written permission. Any testimonials or references displayed on our website have been provided voluntarily and anonymised to the client's specification.

7. Reporting a Concern

If you have any concern about the handling of your confidential information, or wish to exercise any right in relation to your data, please contact us immediately at info@asselmaison.com. We will respond promptly and take all reasonable steps to address your concern.

This notice is to be read alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
